Mirage EROS CE4 e cigarette (Ecig) review

The Best Electronic Cigarette

This is my review of the Mirage EROS CE4 purchased from http://www.miragecigarettes.co.uk/shop/. Check out the video review for a more in depth look.

We reviewed the Mirage EROS Tank model a couple of weeks ago and whilst cartridge models are not my personal, favourite the product performed well and was subsequently scored relatively highly.  This CE4 model incorporates a clear tank system which is my preferred choice, so I have been looking forward to reviewing this for some time.

As usual the purchasing experience with Mirage was good with the shipping time being just 3 days.

Presentation box / packaging

The presentation box the EROS CE4 comes in is cardboard and has the Mirage Cigarettes branding on the front and a few safety details on the back. The box is opened by removing the outer layer of the box.

Included in the box are the following:

  • 2 x batteries 650 mah
  • 2 x CE4 clear tanks empty
  • 1 x USB charger
  • 1 x bottle of e-liquid either tobacco or menthol flavour both 18mg nicotine strength

"A great switch makes for an effortless vape and the CE4 produces a mass of vapour"

The batteries that come with the CE4 are exactly the same ones which are included within the EROS Tank model. They are nice and chunky and have the Mirage cigarettes branding on the base. They have a rubber coated black body and a stainless steel thread connection. The battery is charged in the familar way by simply screwing the battery into the USB charger, which is then connected to your computer via the USB slot. There is a red LED light on the USB charger which illuminates Red to indicate charging which will change to Green when fully charged after about 1.5 to 2hrs. When fully charged, these 650mah batteries lasted me about 4 to 5hrs worth of vaping. The EROS batteries also incorporate the 5 button press function which disables the battery to prevent it going off accidentally.

Switch (responsiveness)

I believe the switch on the CE4 performed better than the Tank model requiring less suction to activate and making for a more effortless vape.

Vaping experience

The CE4 is assembled by simply screwing the clear tank (with the tip also attached) to the battery. Once assembled, the CE4 looks great and is a nice weight in your hand. The clear tanks are filled by removing the tip and adding your e-liquid inside, ensuring you keep away from the air outlet in the middle of the tank. The clear tanks hold 1.6ml of e-liquid which should be re-filled when the e-liquid drops below the 0.6ml mark.  Once assembled the CE4 measure approximately 120mm.

In terms of performance, the CE4 outperforms the Tank version due to the responsiveness of the switch. Each draw of the 18mg tobacco flavour delivered an enjoyable smooth throat kick combined with a huge amount of vapour. I was finding that a fully filled clear tank was providing approximately 100-120 puffs.

Donny's final thoughts

‚ÄčThe CE4 definitely performs better than the Tank model. It looks great, has a switch which performs well and all in all, is an impressive piece of kit.

I checked out the Mirage website based on this review. ‘Web of Trust’ gives it a RED rating, which is pretty off-putting. Does anyone know why they seem to be untrusted?

Also, any plans for reviews of Ego-C Twist or the Lava Tube here, fellas? I always enjoy your reviews.

Hi Bry
Sorry cant comment on the web of trust rating but I can honestly tell you that I have always found Mirage to offer great customer service, one of the best in fact. if you are unsure I would recommend phoning them and ask for Craig and make your own mind up, he is a top guy.
As for the Ego C. . . just bought one so watch this space my friend!
